There’s been one fan in particular (no names to protect the innocent) whose Twitter feed has been full of cries to announce Mollie Green. To that fan’s great surprise and pleasure, not only did the Club announce today but it also sent a personal reply.

Mollie is officially a signing from Manchester United but she has been on loan to Sheffield United since January. So she and Head Coach Carla Ward know each other pretty well.

That aside, it’s another belter of a signing for the Women’s team. The recently turned 23 year-old Merseysider already has a good CV, with experience at Liverpool as a youth player and a senior season at Everton. She’s also represented England at U-19s level.

Mollie’s stint at Manchester saw her appear in eighteen games and score thirteen goals. She’s a number 10 but is just as happy to play on the wing or as fullback.
