Goodbye, hello.

It’s been a while, more than three months in fact, but I’m back.
Well, how have you all been coping under Lock Down? I’m sure, like me, you’ve missed going down The Moors or following the team away.
Three weeks before we went into all this, there was a change at the top as manager Marta Tejedor left for pastures new. With nine League games and an FA Cup Quarter to look forward to, First Team Coach Charlie Baxter stepped up as interim Head Coach. The virus hit, the League was then suspended and has now ended (whilst the men’s continues BCD). Will Charlie ever oversee a game? We’ll have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, there have been other departures. Georgia Brougham has returned to Everton, after her loan period came to an end, and Adrienne Jordan and Brianna Visalli have returned to their home country to play for OL Reign NWSL and Houston Dash NWSL. We thank them for their time with Blues and wish them well in their new clubs.
And there’s been an arrival. Not yet announced by the Club but goalkeeper Elen Valentine has joined us from Leeds RTC.
I think that’s all for now. As soon as football resumes, or there’s some important news, I’ll be back again.
For now, be well and stay safe.

What on earth are our owners doing to the ladies team ?
We had a top four competitive team not long ago but between the recently departed coach and the owners they appear to be turning us into relegation favourites. What makes the scenario even more upsetting is that our rapid decline is going to be mirrored by the accession of the Villa ladies team.
It would be interesting to one day have a statement from the club describing their ambitions for the ladies team !!
No idea, It all seems as though they don’t want the team to continue. We’ll wait on a statement like we wait for any news, apart from when a staff member or player/s leave. Now with the departure of Captain Fantastic, who knows what’s going to happen.
