Birmingham City got back to winning ways v Nottingham Forest on Saturday with a 2-0 victory after a run of 6 without a victory.

Blues took the lead in the 13th minute via a goal from Jota who slotted the ball home nicely after some good set up play,

The match was an open one with both teams creating chances but it was Blues who went on to to extend their lead with man of the moment Che Adams sloting home his 16th of the season a penalty after he had a shot saved on the line by defender Benalouane who was shown a red card for his troubles.

A crowd of 24k watched Garry Monks team close to within 4pts of a playoff spot with Kieftenbeld coming in for special praise from a lot of fans for what was a solid midfield performance.

Blues can now approach next weekends game at QPR with a new spring in there step in an attempt to close the gap further on the top six in the championship…..
