Blues’ Women have announced the appointment of Tony Elliott as its GK Coach.

The 48-year old began as an Apprentice with BCFC, so the circle is complete. After completing his apprenticeship, Tony made 188 appearances in the league playing for a number of clubs including Hereford, Carlisle and Cardiff.

Following his retirement as a player, Tony turned to coaching and has risen to the pinnacle of that career, spending time as Head of International Women’s Youth Goalkeeping at the FA. As well as a football coach he has also coached Futsal ‘keepers and is the Coach for the National Blind Squads and Futsal Squads. He will retain these positions.

Tony has his own Coaching Academy and has developed his own philosophy for keeping goal. So, we look forward to our superb ‘keepers being even ‘superber’.

We give him and his family a Big Blues Welcome.
