Birmingham City have parted company with manager Steve Cotterill after just five months in charge.

With Blues falling to their sixth consecutive defeat in all competitions, the Birmingham City board are now looking for their fifth manager since taking over the club in December 2016.

We understand that former Swansea City, Leeds United and Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk will be unveiled as Blues boss either tomorrow or Monday.

Monk is expecting to bring former Oxford United boss Pep Clotet with him along with four other backroom staff.

Blues are now two points adrift in the bottom three and will host Monk’s former employers Middlesbrough at St. Andrews on Tuesday evening.
