Attack attack attack

Millwall, Brentford, Barnsley. So far its 0 points from 6.  Defeat will leave us in the best case scenario just 1 spot outside the relegation places. So how does Cotterill change what has been an awful week so far?

First of all a bit of attacking intent would go a long way to pleasing the fans at least. Davis Kieftenbeld, Ndoye, Gardner and Lowe are all better in the defensive midfielder role, yet we always seem to end up with 1 of them playing in behind Gallagher. I feel if we are to survive that has to change. Jota and Adams could both play in that position behind the forward which would instantly give us more potency going forward.

Secondly what to do about the holding midfielders? Well this depends how we want them to play. If you want hard work and battle play Ndoye/Davis/Kieftenbeld. If you want to be better on the ball and pass it about then play Gardner and Lowe. At home against Barnsley we will probably have more possession so Gardner and Lowe in there for me (Kieftenbeld suspended and Davis maybe injured anyway).

Now we come to issues at the back, Bramall or Jenkinson? Morrison for Roberts? I think Roberts has been poor of late, his distribution is very poor as well which doesn’t make for a great partnership alongside the ball playing Harlee Dean. I know his distribution isn’t much better but I would give Morro another opportunity on Saturday (I’m not buying some of the utter rubbish some people come out with on Facebook). On the back of a 5-0 drubbing nobody can argue our defence is particularly solid. Then I’d toss a coin between Bramall and Jenkinson, neither have really impressed so far.

Finally let’s just remember football is a funny old game, so let’s get a win Saturday add another 3 points to the total and get that gap back up between us and the drop.
