Blues still chasing Chelsea starlet
2January 30, 2018 by Kane Styles.
Contrary to Steve Cotterill claiming a deal for Kasey Palmer was dead, reports claim that the Chelsea youngster is still expected to join Blues.
Whether or not Cotterill is telling the truth is yet to be seen, those on the Chelsea side of the media seem to be confident that a deal will be completed.
A deal for the 20-year-old looked to be finalised on Sunday, however Cotterill played down the rumour during his press conference on Monday ahead of the Sunderland game.
New light has been shedded on the situation today, numerous sources claim that Palmer is still set to complete a loan move to Blues, with Cotterill in desperate need of creative ilk in the midfield department.
Blues have one day to get the move over the line.
Birmingham City are yet to add to their squad this month – there is growing concerns of breaching financial fair play which ultimately leaves matters out of Cotterill’s hands.
He’s a good lad and would be welcome but I’m still bemused that a cheeky loan bid for Troy Deeney hasn’t been approached. It’s ok having lads who want to use blues to better their career but in Troy you have a recognised striker with blue and white in his veins. Just a thought.
No way could Blues afford Troy Deeney’s wages.
