Derby reflections and a look ahead to the next game

Blues ended their series of defeats with a well-earned point against Derby County.
Sam Gallagher, who is yet to score for Blues, had a great chance to give Lee Carsley’s side the lead. But his effort was blocked inside the six yard box.
The team looked relatively solid. Cheick Ndoye broke up the play better than he has done thus far, and in the absence of David Stockdale, Kusczack made some important stops.
Lukas Jutkiewicz’s spectacular header, with his first touch, put Blues in the lead with 64 minutes played.
But the lead was cut short, just three minutes later Blues failed to deal with a cross and Sam Winall pounced from close range.
Derby had the better of the chances after the equaliser, and could have grabbed a winner if it wasn’t for a smart save inside the box.
Overall, it was a point that Lee Carsley deserved. The players worked hard and Derby didn’t really get going. It looked like a very familiar Gary Rowett performance from the hosts.
Next up; it’s Sheffield Wednesday at home on Wednesday.
The Owls were defeated by four goals to two earlier today in the Steel City Derby.
Lasts time out, a last minute Lukas Jutkiewicz header handed Blues a 2-1 victory. Let’s hope for more of the same this week.
Positivity.
