Silly Season!

With no football to entertain us, strange things often happen in the summer months. Rumours and gossip is everywhere on social media with many so called insiders leaking information. As bluenoses we seem to have one rumour that gets the fans going every transfer window, each time it apparently becomes a more realistic prospect. You know what I am talking about….Troy Deeney is coming home.

Well if you take into account a bookie suspending a market that is.

So let’s just clear this up. First of all it’s very important to point out bookies often suspend a market when they are reevaluating the price they offer. At the time Blues and Leeds were both suspended as Deeney’s next club. This was enough for many to be solid evidence Deeney is on his way to the Blues. Despite the fact that the bookie in question being used as the source here still had him odds on to stay at Watford.

Since the frenzy began a price now has appeared for Deeney signing for Blues and Leeds, 33/1 and 20/1. So it looks like there is no imminent move in the eyes of this particular bookmaker.

Maybe we will make a substantial offer and bring Deeney to Blues this summer. However I think it’s important to not get too carried away with the gossip and so called clickbait sites. Remember the only true source of communication is through the Official Blues site and social media.
