scarf ladyCarole Butcher, more affectionately known to Bluenoses as “Scarf Lady”, will be in attendance for the Blues Ladies Match on Sunday as another Blues Legend Karen Carney brings her Chelsea side to Solihull Moor’s Autotech Stadium.

Blues Ladies Official Supporters Club has been able to arrange for “Scarf Lady”, a lifelong bluenose, to attend Birmingham City Ladies  match on Sunday as Blues take on Chelsea.  The stage is set for it to be an enthralling game as 4th meet 2nd with only 2 points separating the sides. To make Carole’s day all the more special the Official Ladies Supporters Club havescarf ladyaward liaised with club CEO Tim Andrews who will ensure that Carole receives a VIP experience on her visit. We have spoken to Tracy Hemming from, Birmingham City Football Club Fans Group, who is more than happy to  accompany Carole, both are looking forward to the match and both are more than happy to #backthegirls .

Another added dimension to Sunday’s fixture is the return of Karen Carney to the Solihull Moors turf after she moved last year from Blues to become a Chelsea Pensioner.

Karen is a Blues legend as well as being a lifelong Blues fan who can boast of being the first female to be inducted kcscinto the clubs Hall of Fame. Karen was also part of the Blues team that won the FA Cup in 2012 and in 2015 she became the youngest English player of either gender to reach 100 caps for her country.

The Birmingham City Ladies Official Supporters Club was taken on less than 6 months ago by Blues Collective but that has not stopped us from making a big impact already. Working in co-operation with the ladies shirt sponsor Eze Group, the group have been able to run competitions for fans to win match tickets and VIP tickets to home games.  With a big semi-final in the Continental Cup also fast approaching we have been able to team up with Redditch Blues to run a coach for supporters wishing to travel to London Bees on Saturday 3rd September. There is limited availability left so if you are interested in coach travel to the Semi-Final then please do so quickly HERE.

A truly lovely article – a lovely lady indeed. I am old enough to remember Ada at St.Andrews in the fifties – happy times so long ago!.
