Birmingham City’s fixture against Bolton Wanderers this evening is in no doubt despite a large fire breaking out near St Andrew’s.

A tyre yard on Little Green Lane – around half a mile from the Blues ground – set ablaze this afternoon.

But about 30 firefighters attended the yard and extinguished the fire at around 2:20pm.

The club have since advised that tonight’s clash against Championship strugglers Bolton will take place as planned, but have recommended that fans arrive as early as possible.
