Birmingham City squandered a chance to gain ground on their play-off rivals as they surrendered a lead to Sheffield Wednesday and lost 2-1 at St Andrew’s.

Clayton Donaldson opened the scoring in first-half added time, before Wednesday’s Gary Hooper bagged a brace in the second period to secure a smash-and-grab victory for the visitors in notably wet conditions.
