On Wednesday 12th August, after discussions with @The_FSF (Football Supporters Federation), Blues Collective opened  discussions with Brentford FC in relation to them taking the decision to postpone the championship league fixture on 18th August. Blues Collective understood it was their decision to call the game off and felt that Brentford FC had a duty of care to BLUES supporters who had paid for their travel and/or accommodation.

Blues Collective, through it’s members and with the help of Birmingham City FC, advertised through social media and the match day program for fans to contact Blues Collective to register their claim.

Birmingham City FC had announced that all tickets to the original fixture were valid for the re-arranged fixture and any fans that could not attend the re-arranged fixture would be refunded.

All claims had to be submitted to Brentford by Blues Collective by the 26th August. Each individual claim had to be verified by Blues Collective and all evidence of loss attached to each claim and submitted to Brentford

On the 26th August, Blues Collective sent a 90 page PDF file to Brentford with all verified claims including all individual telephone numbers and bank account details for the refund to be paid into.

Blues Collective sent and received over 400 emails to claimants and clubs and are very pleased to announce that all Blues Fans that submitted their claim in full ( claims starting from £9.55 ) will be paid in full by Brentford FC by Friday 18th September.

Blues Collective would like to thank Brentford FC for their consideration shown to Blues fans and for fans to realise that Brentford FC were under no legal obligation to pay nearly £1,400.00 in refunds.
