50 years later and Birmingham City Supporters still want to show the men that did the club proud all those years ago that they are still fondly remembered today, even if some are sadly not with us anymore to see what should be a special night on 27th May 2013 at St Andrews Legends Lounge 7pm to 11.30pm.

An evening has been arranged by Keith Dixon, where some of the players who are still with us will be treated to an evening of celebration and remembrance of that famous day in 1963 when Birmingham City won the League Cup 3-1 over local Rivals Aston Villa and Raised the cup at Villa park.

The team Managed by the Blues goalkeeping legend Gil Merrick won the first leg at St Andrews 3-1 in front of 31,000 fans with goals from Ken Leek 2 and Jimmy Bloomfield, The second Leg at Villa Park ended 0-0 which meant Birmingham City got to lift a major trophy for the first time in there history made all the more sweeter that it was done at such a place.
