Rob not here for long Hall

Right winger Robert Hall has returned to his parent club West Ham to have his groin injury assessed. The teenage winger has made 13 appearances since arriving on loan at the club in November, and although he hasn’t scored for us, he’s chipped in with an impressive 7 assists.
I think this is a minor blow to our plans out wide for the remainder of the season. Not only is Hall very gifted from set pieces, he was also very versatile and provided a promising option going forward. Because of the return to form of Chris Burke on the right, he’s played on the left quite a bit, so his position could be taken up by Nathan Redmond.
On the other hand, the recent return from compassionate leave and injury of Keith Fahey and Darren Ambrose respectively, means we’ll have more options in the centre. If Clark wants to preserve Redmond’s role as an impact substitute, which is where he’s been arguably more effective because of his pace, then he could move Wade Elliott back out to the left, as he’s filled in in the middle lately.
I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Hall a speedy recovery.
