Caddis wants to stay

Paul Caddis has spoke of his desire to join Blues on a permanent basis when his loan deal from Swindon Town expires at the end of the season. He told the Birmingham Mail- “I am testing myself at a good level every week, last season I was in League Two and now I’m playing in the Championship, I’d love to stay here”.

The situation regarding Caddis and Adam Rooney who moved to the County Ground on loan as part of the deal may have changed since Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio resigned last week. The Italian was keen to sign Rooney permanently meaning Caddis would stay at Blues. However, when Swindon appoint a new manager, he may have other plans.

Meanwhile, centre forward Koby Arthur has been handed the squad number 16 after impressing in the under 18’s and under 21’s this season. The 17 year old has been at the club for a year.

Elsewhere, Blues away fixture at Leicester City has been moved forward to Friday 12 April for live Sky Sports coverage. Kick off will be at 7.45pm.

  1. Karthorse says:

SIGN HIM UP SIGN HIM UP!

  2. With Packwood out for a year and Carr possibly on his way out career wise, we need a right back so that’s a swap I’d quite happily make. I did like Rooney because he works hard so ideally would want to keep him with King, Mr Lover Man and Zig in their 30s, and Thomas only on loan, but needs must I suppose.

Then again, I hope that one of these kids like Hales, Henry-Francis and now Koby Arthur can come in at some point in the next year and make some sort of impact. We need to
give them all of our support so that they can become a secret weapon. Hope they can be starting to get introduced to the team this season, as I believe all 3 of our top strikers contracts end summer 2014. Not sure we’ll be able to renew them in their mid30s, so need to plan ahead.
