Barnsley have rejected a bid from Blues for midfielder Stephen Dawson, according to Vital Barnsley.

They added- Birmingham will be back with an improved bid however and knowing Barnsley as I  do if it`s a half decent offer they will probably let him go.

So, contrary to Peter Pannu’s recent interview, is there money available, albeit, a very small amount? The biggest mistake the current Blues regime made when they first took over was to disclose the amount of funds available to buy players. This meant teams would ask Blues for way over the valuation of a player. Is this the opposite party trick?

Certainly, if Vital Barnsley is correct, then Lee Clark is very keen to make Dawson a Blues player.
