Blues travel to Cardiff City tomorrow looking to build on the win at Brighton on Saturday. The Red Dragons, as they’re now called, have still got a 100% record at home this term so far, so it is yet another tough fixture for Lee Clark’s men.

Blues will be without Stephen Carr, Paul Caddis, David Murphy and Pablo Ibanez. New signing James Hurst is likely to travel with the squad, but may not start. Chris Burke, previously of Cardiff, will look to carry on his improving form, he scored the goal at Brighton.

Jordon Mutch will miss the game against his old club with a foot injury, he joined Cardiff from Blues in the summer. Tommy Smith and Craig Bellamy are also unlikely to feature.

Blues have picked up 10 points from the last five games, but for the horrific Barnsley defeat, they looked to have turned a corner. Cardiff have won four of their last five outings and are joint top of the Championship.
