Blues take on Barnsley tomorrow at St. Andrews in a 5.20pm kick-off.
Lee Clark has confirmed that right-back Paul Caddis, who has impressed since joining the club on-loan from Swindon Town, will be out for up to three months as he requires a shoulder operation. The 24 year-old fell awkwardly in the second half of the 2-1 win over Bolton on Tuesday night. Clark said- ” found a replacement that was capable of filling those shoes and he did it extremely well. He was outstanding for those three games and then ‘bang’ we get news like this.”It’s a tough one for us to take. I know the history of the position before my time here and it’s a bit of a cursed position. I’ve been on the phone over the last 24 hours in terms of looking into the loan market but not many managers want to loan me a right-back now!”.
Blues have picked up seven points out of the last three games and will want to continue their climb up the table with another three points. It is likely that Jonathan Spector will drop to right-back and Keith Fahey will make his first start of the season after returning from injury. Hayden Mullins is also a doubt after picking up a knock in the first half. Ravel Morrison, Wade Elliott and Morgaro Gomis can all deputize for Mullins, should he be ruled out.
